There is a rich variety of cultural, educational, sports, gastronomic and musical events taking place in Čačak and its surroundings, providing the visitors with excellent entertainment, as well as new knowledge about the traditions and culture of the Čačak region.
The trademark of Čačak culture is the poetry event “Dis' Spring”, which has been held continuously since 1964. The festival is named after the famous Serbian poet Vladislav Petković Dis (1880–1917), who was born in Zablaće near Čačak. The event is held annually in Čačak and its surroundings from March 10 (Dis's birth date) to the end of May. The international karate tournament “Golden Belt OF
Čačak” is the largest and oldest karate tournament in
Europe, which is included in the ECF competition
calendar and brings together individuals and teams from

The Serbian Flute Players’ Festival “Oj, Moravo” takes
place in Prislonica near Čačak, bringing together the best
folk flute players in Serbia, preserving the traditional and
developing the contemporary music played on the flutes
– work of the most famous flute builders, and competing
for the winning title - the Golden Flute of the Assembly.
Preliminary competitions for the Flute Players’ Assembly
are held throughout Serbia. The event fosters original
folk art and customs, and flute makers and other masters
of old crafts exhibit their handiwork together with
knitters, embroiderers, weavers and housewives who
prepare old, traditional dishes.

The International Folklore Festival Etnofest brings
together ensembles from all over the world. Respect for
the traditions and customs of all peoples, as well as
cooperation and socializing, are the goals of this festival.
Etnofest is part of the International Council of
Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF),
which is an official partner of UNESCO.

STORY (PRIČA) is a rock festival with numerous rock
concerts and various accompanying events, which are
organized at several locations in the city. The event
features the most famous rock bands from the country
and the region.

A traditional economic and tourist event held in Zablaće near Čačak aims to promote vegetable products and establish cooperation between producers and buyers. With its diverse gastronomic competitions and entertainment program, it attracts a large number of visitors from the wider area.
Since 2003, Mrčajevci has been known for its unique and
very popular event celebrating the traditon of Saurkeraut
dish cooked with smoked meet. The competition in
cooking cabbage in an earthen pot takes place in several categories, and the most successful ones traditionally
receive the Golden, Silver and Bronze Pots. The cultural
and entertainment program features over 1,200
participants - cultural and artistic societies and the most
famous entertainers.

The event is dedicated to the venerable Serbian patriarch
Pavle, who had taken his monastic vows at the
monastery of Annunciation in the Ovčar Spa. The first
part of the program takes place on 27 th September in the
Ovčar Banja, with the opening of the exhibition of crosses
made by the "Patriarch Pavle’s Cross" art residence. The
second part of the program is held in Čačak and includes
exhibitions, sermons, concerts of spiritual music, while
the international branch events are also held in Gacko,
Republika Srpska; Nikšić, Montenegro and Kućanci,
Croatia.

DUK is an international youth festival that combines
extreme sports, mural painting, hip hop culture and
music. DUK enriches the cultural life of the city through
festival activities on the riverbank, where visitors can
enjoy numerous events in which they can be interactive
